SUPPORTING LITERACY AND LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT THROUGH STORIES, SONGS AND SENSORY PLAY.
My parent and child classes support early literacy and language skills, through books, rhythm, songs and play.
Each week we read and sing together, meet puppets and play instruments, before moving on to book-themed sensory play!
All of the activities are carefully planned to support key areas of early years' development.
We have lots of fun and hope to set your little one up for a life-long love of reading and adventure!

Hi! I'm Nicola and I am the person behind Storyrobins!
I am mum to two boys, a qualified teacher and SendCo with over 20 years of experience in education and developmental psychology.
I have experience teaching Early Years both in and out of the classroom and am passionate about supporting literacy and language skills from a young age.
My carefully planned classes are fun and engaging and provide opportunities for your little one to develop key skills, as well as supporting parents to feel confident to continue the enjoyment of learning at home.
Storyrobins classes provide children with an enriching learning environment offering opportunities to read, sing, move and explore!
Children will develop their independence, self-esteem and self-confidence, language and literacy through our carefully planned range of activities.
My classes are progressive and so regular attendance will help your little one build key skills to support their literacy and language development.

Exposing children early to stories, songs, rhythm and rhyme hugely supports phonics and reading skills.
At Storyrobins, my carefully planned activities support language acquisition, memory, cognition, attention, listening skills and speech, as well as being fun and engaging for little ones!
Our tuff-tray play includes natural resources and pre-loved toys.
When purchasing new, I aim to source from small independent business across the UK who are also keen on being more sustainable.
Our sensory bases are always taste-safe and compostable and I even make my own playdough!
The carefully planned and sensory-rich activities take a Montessori-approach, using natural and real-world resources.
My mixed-age classes include an element of independent play where children can explore alongside one another.
We learn through play, practising fine motor, language, attention and listening and pre-phonic skills each week!
Each week we focus on a sound, using instruments, songs and rhyme to build pre-phonic knowledge and support literacy and language.
